What do you know about those busses you see around town with DCT on them? Probably very little. Due to physical problems, I am uncomfortable driving these days and haven't driven over the last year, yet I still need to get around.
I can't say enough about this service. I have moved in comfort and ease through Talbot, Caroline and Dorchester counties on the bus.
It doesn't matter where you're going, the Delmarva Community Transit will get you there. I have met with nothing by courteous, friendly service.
On one occasion while living in Federalsburg, I had to be at Memorial Hospital at 7 a.m. for minor surgery. A supervisor and a dear friend picked me up at the house and took me to hospital.
For those who don't drive, are in wheelchairs, or handicapped in anyway: This service is invaluable. The hospital, post office, the library, Social Services, neighbor hood center. And many stops in between.
Thank you DCT, a much needed and appreciated friend to Delmarva. Information at 410-822-4155 or www.mustbus.org.
