In 1989, Delmarva Community Services, Inc. acquired the contract from MAC Incorporated (the Area Agency on Aging) to operate senior center services in Dorchester County. Today, DCS operates 3 senior centers throughout the county in Cambridge, Hurlock, and Golden Hill. In an effort to comprehensively meet the needs of aging persons and their families in the county, DCS has expanded its services to include the county's home delivered meals program, telephone reassurance, transportation, adult medical day care, respite care, a senior information and assistance office and a "One Stop" office for information.
