PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE-Dorchester County State of Maryland Mass Transit Administration
Dorchester County Council intends to submit the annual application for grant funds from the State of Maryland, Mass Transit Administration, and the Federal Transit Administration for continuation of existing transit services in Dorchester County. Statewide Specialized Transportation Assistance Program (SSTAP) provide funds for transportation of the elderly and persons with disabilities in Dorchester County. The Federal Section 5311 Public Transportation Program provides funds for the transportation of the general public of Dorchester County. The FY25 capital will be for one (1) replacement bus and preventative maintenance costs. The primary goal of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) funding is to provide general purpose transportation for persons with disabilities who are unable to use the fixed-route public transit in Cambridge due to their disability. The Proposed FY25 Annual Transportation Plan is available for review January 24, 2024, at the Dorchester County Council Office, Room 108, County Office Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday and at Delmarva Community Services, Inc., located at 2450 Cambridge Beltway from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
