Delmarva Community Transit

Need a ride? - Whether you do not own a car, cannot drive, or just need a ride, we can help. Delmarva Community Transit (DCT) provides transportation throughout the Mid-Shore area at very affordable rates. Connections are available to Queen Anne's County and the Lower Shore.
Operation Days and Times
Hours of Service: 4:15 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Monday-Friday;
​8:35 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturdays

​Limited Service:
Martin Luther King's Birthday, Presidents' Day, Veterans' Day and Good Friday.
No Bus Service:
Memorial Day, Juneteenth Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and
​New Year's Day. 
Traveling Upper and Mid-Shore
DCT and Queen Anne's County County Ride cover Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties, with regularly scheduled route service Monday through Friday, plus limited Saturday service. For seniors over 60 years of age, and people with disabilities, we provide door-to-door service with 24-hour notice.

Traveling to the Lower Shore
Points in Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties can be reached by traveling to Salisbury via Route 10 and connecting to Shore Transit.
Bikes
Major routes include bike racks to allow bikers to ride the bus for longer destinations and have their bikes to use upon arrival.  There is no extra charge for bringing bicycles on the bus.

  • $3.00 General Public
  • $1.50 Senior Citizens (60+ years), Persons w/ Disabilities, all Medicare Card Holders.
  • $2.00 Age 17 and under (DCT only, and exception Route 1 & 2)
  • $1.00 Independence Card & photo ID - Kent, Caroline, Talbot, Queen Anne residents only.
  • FREE Age 3 and Under
            Note:  Children are required to have car seats in compliance with Maryland Child                              Passenger Safety Law.  For more information, visit this website.
  • FREE - Transfers to other routes to complete a one-way trip Passes: 
  • $80.00 Monthly Pass General Public
  • $35.00 Monthly Pass Senior Citizens (60+ years), Persons w/ Disabilities, all Medicare Card Holders.
  • $40.00 Student Pass (not available Route 1 & 2)

Transportation for Veterans

At Delmarva Community Services, Inc., we are committed to serving veterans of our nation’s armed forces. Veterans are welcome to ride at no charge on the fixed or deviated routes.  There is a charge for door-to-door service.

Accessibility

All of our buses are fully wheelchair equipped to accommodate wheelchairs, power scooters and individuals who cannot climb stairs. Our drivers pay particular attention to riders needing extra help - they receive extensive, mandated training to serve our riders' special needs.

When you call for door-to-door service, let us know of any limitations you have so we can meet your needs. On regularly scheduled trips, explain any special needs to the driver picking you up.  Portable oxygen respirators and concentrators are accepted on all buses.
Specialized Transportation Options
DCT Customized One Stop Service
The DCT One Stop Service provides more transit options for people 60 years and older and persons with disabilities.  Transportation is provided in vans or cars.  Origin to destination is available by calling One Stop Service 24 hours in advance.  A maximum of 3 stops per day can be scheduled.  Rates are based on the number of stops and mileage covered.  One Stop Service is available in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent and Talbot counties.  Call 844-955-0328.

Services for Senior Citizens & People with Disabilities
For seniors over 60 years of ages and people with disabilities, we provide door-to-door service with 24-hour notice.  Special rates apply.

Travel Training Services

Not so sure? That’s no problem. 
We can provide a travel trainer to help qualified individuals to learn the ropes. The trainer will ride with you while you become accustomed to using our system. He or she will take you step by step through the entire process, all at no extra charge.
